Dr. Nadia Nawaz Qadri
Dr. Nadia Nawaz Qadri is presently working as Associate Professor and Head of Electrical Engineering Department at CIIT, Wah Campus. Dr. Nadia received her PhD (Electronics Systems Engineering) Degree from University of Essex, UK in 2010. She has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience at renowned universities of Pakistan. She is leading a research group “Communication and Networks” at CIIT. Dr. Nadia has published around 54 publications including 29 reputed international journal papers, 11 international conference papers, 11 book chapters in international books, one U.S Patent granted and 2 US patent and 1 IPO patent under review. She also published a book titled “Streaming Media with Peer-to-Peer Networks: Wireless Perspectives. Dr. Nadia has served as track-chair in FIT 16 and 17. In addition to that, she has been in the program committee/review committee of more than forty reputed international conferences and reviewer of various Journals of Springer, Elsevier, and IEEE transactions. Her research interests include video streaming, mobile ad hoc networks and vehicular ad hoc networks, P2P Networks, wireless sensor networks, Video and Image Processing, Medical Image processing, Internet of Things, Multicore Reconfigurable Architectures.

Internet of thing is unprecedented development in the era of communication and networks. Internet is essential part in each and every field of life. Question raised how to luxurious our living standard with the usage of internet. Therefore emergence of internet with various things e.g., home appliances, green houses, medical equipment, industrial control panel and lab devices is important. Internet can manage tremendous operation on all these things. This talk will discuss on research that identifies and enhances the key subjective improvements, possible challenges and major prospects in IoT. An IoT is not considered as a separate framework, but is considered as a basic, coordinated infrastructure in which a large number of applications and management can be executed. In next decade, according to IoT concept, everything is connected to internet. Using IoT, we can access, control and manage all things using internet at anyplace, anytime and anywhere. Interoperability, standards, protocols and rules are key issues in the early development and adoption of IoT devices.
